no, I am not playing at full volume or even at high volume. In face, the good voice and the bad voice are actually played at the same level of volume. I have also tried to play some voices with windows media player in the 85 folders with no problem like this.

Those are the default RC4 files.Where should I look for the bad wav files? I tried to play some files in the 85 folder but they didnt have problem with windows media players. It seems to me that the problem appears only I play the voices with RC4.

I solved the problem. I believe RC4 is an non-Unicode program. I was using Chinese(Taiwan) when RC voices wont work. After I change it back to English, it works now. I hope the next release or update would solve this problem since its very inconvenient. thanks

on the rc home page, under requirements, it says DBCS is not supported (chinese, japanese, etc).i never figured out how the stitch the wavs together on a DBCS machine, i don't have one to test on, and would be able to use it if i did. doubtful whether v5 will support DBCS.jd
