July 20, 200916 yr Check out this video of a guy who's converted a driver's license and some old pennies into MIDI controllers: If they work as midi controllers, it's not a stretch to think they might work as flight sim controllers as well.Might be a neat, cheap solution for adding custom-placed buttons and switches to a home cockpit.Anyone have more info on this guy? It looks like the videos are a couple of years old--I just came across them yesterday. "Even Ozzy's wagging his tail again. Liam who?"
July 20, 200916 yr Someone has waaaay too much time on their hands :( Might be a good project. What "custom buttons" do/did you have in mind, Charlie?
July 20, 200916 yr Author Nothing specific - I just think it might fun to experiment with different configurations, provided you could get this to work in the first place. I suppose you could position your pennies to act as a beacon/strobe/nav light toggles, or as radio switches. The driver's license might be a neat way to control trim, gear or flaps.
