P3D won't be for you -- at least not yet -- if you're planning on simming with Nvidia 3D Vision glasses. They're not compatible.

Is there such a thing? I've seen radio stacks for the iPad and Android tablets, but not Windows. If not an "app", is there a way to display the radio stack on a second computer, say through an add-on via Simconnect? My tablet's running Windows 8.1.

Agree with everything except the ZZ Top part. It's a Timbuk 3 song.

Very slow here -- southern Ontario, Canada. -
I find it easier still to mentally insert these words myself at the start of any opinion I'm reading. It helps curb redundant phrases and makes for greater word economy.

Sums up my feeling exactly. Thanks for cutting down my typing time.

Love the weather engine, HATE the Live Camera
Charlie Chew replied to ajpongress's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Same here - I've put a lot of time into trying to get consistent smoothness with TIR through Opus, and it's just not working, so I've disabled LC. Opus is an outstanding weather engine though, and the customer support is top notch. -
It's also available as an instant download: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Flight-Simulator-X/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8044d530935

Hey Cheryl, Yes, I've tested the full range of scan numbers in increments of five. The 25-35 range seems to work best, and as far as I can tell has eliminated the problem of the view jumping to the forward position every now and then. But it hasn't appeared to help the problem already described by others. Panning will be buttery smooth at start up, but later in taxing or on take-off, it's as though head tracking slows to 2 or 3 frames per second, although the actual simulator FPS is unchanged. This will continue for perhaps 10 or 15 seconds, then go back to being smooth for perhaps another 10 seconds, and then the tracking fps will slow to a crawl again, and back and forth.
-
Unfortunately I'm experiencing the same thing. Saw a big improvement with one of the past versions (I believe it was 2.24.1), but have frequent jumps and performance lags again with recent versions. I have tried adjusting the scan rate within OPUS. Hopefully a solution will crop up. I do appreciate your excellent product and support.

P3D and Nvidia 3D vision - too much depth?
Charlie Chew replied to Boris_The_Spider's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
I don't think it's a driver issue. I'm getting the exact same thing. -
Very happy with my OpusFSX purchase today. Not much time to play around with it yet but the Beta works great with Track-IR. Nice job!
-
Wow, that was fast. Great news!

Won't have a chance to try the demo for a while, so quick question. Are the taxi/landing camera shake effects roughly on par with those of EZCA. If so, I'm sold.

Will V2 work with Freetrack head tracking software? V1 does, for about 15 minutes, then crashes, and the Freetrack community hasn't been able to find a solution. I know many people who will purchase V2 if this gets fixed.

Great, thanks! My list is back down to two. Yes Track-IR really is a deal breaker.I don't expect a 172 to be a deal breaker for many other people, but 90 per cent of my FSX usage is reviewing real-world lessons. I fly a 172 that's exactly like Carenado's, so FSX is the clear choice for me at the moment.
