Fs2004 AI Ardvark Airplanes

Featured Replies

I got and repainted a ai ardvark airplane and put flightplans for it with the ai flight planner program but when I look for the airplane in fs2004 it is not in the game and yes I have checked about ttools but I don't know how to convert the airplane folder into text files with flightplans and airports and the plane its self. I need help!!!

Not quite sure what you mean exactly but here are some basics:Any AI plane must be present in your aircraft folder with, model, texture(s), aircraft.cfg and .air file. In the aircraft.cfg file the plane must have at least it's own unique title and separate texture with references to the (possibly already present) model and .air file. If you are only adding a new paint (=texture) to an already present aircraft folder then check if the new texture folder has the same texture names as in the texture folder(s) already present. If these are not the same then the new texture will never work with that model file.Normally AI planes will not show up in the drop down "select aircraft" menu because of their "aircraft type=2" specified in their .air files. If you change such a type to zero then it will show up and can be selected (for testing purposes).I don't know which flight planner program you are using but in the aircraft.txt file it is important that the title is present exactly as specified in the plane's aircraft.cfg file.Hope this helps.Hans

If you are using AIFlightPlanner (AIFP) , there is a fourm for it at FSDeveloper.com. If you are new to writing flight plans, I would suggest writing a simple two legged plan for a default plane between airports where you know there is plenty of parking. KSAN to KLAX, for example. Go to the airport about five minutes before take off. Once that works, then we can talk about how to add a repaint.Bob
