FS2004 ?'s

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if all the aircraft, mesh scenery etc we have for FS2002 will work in FS2004?Thanks---Jerry---

Been answered before, if the aircraft developers abided by the SDK's provided by MS they will be fully compatible. That leaves out advanced add-ons like 767PIC though.Cheers,http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/12447.jpgMember of the [a href=http://ffg.avsim.net" target="_blank]Freeware Flight Group [/a]

Until designers get their hands on it, and aren't bound by NDAs, I don't think anyone can say. It seems to me that much of what designers need is not documented in the SDKs, so I'm not sure that abiding by the SDK is adequate to ensure an addon performs like it did in fs8. It may be "compatible", in that the file formats can be read by the sim, but that doesn't mean (to me at least) that, for example, your scenery VTP polys that look nice in fs8 will still look nice in fs9.scott s..

Thanks for the replies and the information.Confused, does "fs8" refer to FS98 and what does "fs9" refer to?Thanks again---Jerry---
