July 30, 200916 yr What you have probably read about is that you can fix the problem with FSUIPC. Specifically, there is the capability to enable smoothing out of the changes to the weather in FS when using real world weather downloads, the problem being that when FS downloads a new METAR snapshot every fifteen minutes, if the weather has changed a lot in that time, which is often the case if you are on a long flight, then you can suddenly get a huge wind shift that can overspeed your aircraft, or make it stall or do other unpleasant things of that nature. You can partially solve the problem without FSUIPC, by playing around with the weather preference setting in FS, where you can change the rate at which weather changes, in an attempt to introduce changes more slowly, but FSUIPC has a specific option to smooth things out, which is a more elegant solution.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
July 30, 200916 yr You need to get a licence for fsuipc, to fix the winds, but at the cost it is well worth it,
July 30, 200916 yr Here's a couple of screengrabs I did of the registered version of FSUIPC, showing you the weather tweaks it has (note that's version 4 of FSUIPC, which is only for FSX):Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
