August 4, 200916 yr I have an Acer Aspire 5520G laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium. I have Flight Simulator X Deluxe SP1 installed and today was playing when the game froze and a BSoD (Blue Screen of Death) came up. It was too quick to read, as the laptop immediately rebooted. I went into safe mode and shut down. Bfore the BSoD appeared I Was running Spotify and Chrome at the same time, and I noticed my laptop was slightly hot. Tweaked the aircraft.cfg file of a B-52 I had downloaded to make the engines rockets instead of jets. After seeing the thrust did not work switched to an Airbus A319-100, which is when the OS crashed. Had a Genius mouse and a Sweex G200 Vibration Joystick connected. I had been using my laptop for 3 hours, and it had got quite warm during that period, though it was still fine to touch. My system specifications are:AMD Turion 64 x2 Mobile Technology processorNvidia GeForce 8400 G2GB RAMThank you in advance!
August 22, 200916 yr If you go to the C:\windows\minidump directory there should be a dump file with the date and time of the last bluescreen. You can download a program from MS called "dbg_x86_6.11.1.404.msi" which will translate the dump file into a readable format to find what caused the BSOD at the time of the crash.I just bought a new computer and was having constant BSOD and was able to isolate the BSOD to a specific driver for my gaming keyboard. Removed the drivers and keyboard and no more BSOD.Its not that difficult to use the program just read the notes from MS and its all self explanatory.Sean Sean Green
