August 5, 200916 yr On my last landing, I used LOC ONLY. When I was close enough to the runway, I pressed the autoland button, and DUAL LAND as well as G/S were announced properly, but the white LOC ONLY didn't go away. Autoland was performed perfectly, and I read in a manual that once LOC ONLY is active, it would stay, but is this true for a DUAL LAND situation as well?Andreas Andreas, LOWW - Nihil sumus et fuimus mortales. With LOC only engaged the aircraft will only track the runway laterally. Since you pressed the autoland button the aircraft also started to track the runway vertically as well (as long as you're close to the G/S). It is normal for the LOC only to still be displayed on the PFD after pressing the LOC only LSK and then the Autoland button later in the approach. I also use it to track the localizer when Radar Contact Vectors me in too far out and I haven't picked up the G/S yet (over 20nm). As soon as I see the G/S pop up on the PFD I press the Autoland button and everthing's gravy. Dan Schultz REX Latitude BETA Team Member https://rexlatitude.com
