August 7, 200916 yr Sometimes I find NO Approach (runway) data in the FMS. Sample: LPPR (Porto) It is no small airport with a runway length of 11.000 ft.I have done Navdata updates (cycly 0908) for MD-11 and FSC. All data is correct, also the FSX map shows correct runway data. Why does it show on the MD-11 FMS: "Appr NONE" ?Errol
August 7, 200916 yr The MD11 FMS has no error messages if it encounters a problem in the navdata, it simply annouces NONE.In this case, the error is in the LPPR.txt file on line 96:SID ERLE3N RNW 35 TRK 353 UNTIL 3000 TRK 218 UNTIL 5000 TURN LEFT DIRECT HDG 160 where the syntax turn left to a heading is incorrect.I found this in 0908 rev2, I think they have a later rev available. You can check for that, if same problem then email navdata and give them the squawk.Meanwhile, you can fix this by changing TURN LEFT DIRECT HDG 160 to just HDG 160 (it will turn left in this case). You can use any text editor to do this. I should mention I didn't check for other errors in the file. Dan Downs KCRP
