"One of the big problems with Flight Simulator in the past has been you couldn't let it run in the background. Let's say you wanted to work in Word and fly from JFK to LAX. It couldn't be done since FS would pause the game until you returned to the FS window and un-paused it. Well this is no longer the case. Fire up those engines, enter your flight plan and set the autopilot. After takeoff enable autopilot and go do some work! The game will fly in the background until you're ready to land. Very cool move Microsoft!"Umm... he didn't look too hard in FS2002 - "Pause on task switch" toggle is right there in General Options.
