August 12, 200916 yr Dear all,I couldn't find a thread addressing the problem of increased engine noise switching from cockpit mode to outside camera views. This is especially important since I've arranged camera views in a way to work as passenger cabin views, but everytime I switch to an outside camera, the noise level consequently rises, since you're, well.... "outside"! Since I mostly wear headphones, this can be truely painful at times >:[is there any way to assign specific volume parameters to outside camera views? Thanks in advance for any help!Happy LandingsCF
August 12, 200916 yr The only way I have found to do this is to edit the sound.cfg file and change the files used for external sounds for those used for internal sounds. But this has the effect of changing all the external sounds in any external view for the internal sounds. On some aircraft the file name for external sounds is the same as the internal sound filename with an 'x' added at the start eg Default 737-800 ban1strt - internal sound file xban1strt - external sound fileso it was quite a simple job to remove the 'x' to get the desired effect. Some sound.cfg's are much more complicated and I haven't had time to look at them properly.Phil Asus Maximus Hero XI , i7-8086, 16 Gb RAM, nVidia GTX 1080 ti
