Hi I have just made a new (monster) computer for simulation..AMD Phenom

Hi,Do you have SP1 and SP 2 installed for FSX?Also, there are just certain threads or processes from FSX that are programmed to use the other cores. You will not see an even distribution across cores. Thanks,

ahh SorryHave FSX and FSX Acceleration installed. running on WINDOWS 7I know that all 4 cores will not run at 100%, but right now 3 of them is allmost at idle all the time.

Try this entry in the FSX.cfg file:[JOBSCHEDULER]AffinityMask=14

Best regards from RelaxX

The other cores will engage when loading scenery. Try flying over Seattle or some other locationwith lots of scenery detail. That is when the other cores kick in.If not much scenery loading is required (and with 2GB of video memory you may not have to domuch dynamic scenery loading), the other cores will indeed be quiet...If you would also like to see Core0 run at less than 100%, try using the fps limiter application. It will reduce the processor load and allow the system to run cooler, which is a good thing! :(
