Hi John,That thing happens every time the wx writing is initiated and gets stuck at the first or second airport four-letter code, either having started ASV6.5 first or after FS9 initialisation. If I hit "Refresh" button, it says "Please wait until another function is done". I am not sure, but I think it started soon after download and installation of SPs for Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 & 3.5. So now, I have no other option than start FS situation first and after that wx set occurs (writing continues and finishes), contrary to what happened earlier with ASV6.5 (wx was set before FS9 situation started). Hi,What happens again if you start ASv6.5 first? It stops processing the weather file because you are watching the main screen? See if your anti-virus is scanning this process. I don't think it has anything to do with the MS updates.Thanks,

If ASv6.5 starts without FS9, all procedures go to end normally. The program gets stuck when FS9 is active, no matter first or second to start. The ASv6.5 procedures are done shortly after the FS situation (flight) has already begun, something which never happened in the past. At the time, FS wx was set first and at the moment a situation started, everything was set in place. Now I have to wait for a while for program to set the weather, scenery and refresh AI, before starting cockpit preparation. It is not a big deal, but this is not the way it's meant to work.I use AVG 8.5 free. I don't think it is an antivirus issue, as AVG is disabled when I use FS.Maybe it's an ASv6.5 options matter, any ideas on this ?Best regards,Sotiris.

I am trying to upload an fscreen shot to show you all my selected options, but in vain, avsim forum refused any type of file upload I tried !!!!!! I am wondering what type it would accept.............................and it was surely less than 1.95MB.Anyway, I 'll quote some of them, which I think are "suspected", in written-down way : Updates & weather writes : Ignore FS ready status (checked)Startup & general : Unpause on FS ready status (checked), Ignore FS location until ready : (unchecked).I tested all three options with starting FS, but no luck. OK, we are trying to make AS complete wx writing to FS before the load of flight, ("wx update completed" while FS is active) as always happened in the past.No, I don't think something is broken within AS, as I have reinstalled it several times.The issue exists with offline mode too.I am sorry if I can't be more helpful, do you want me to send you in private e-mail my options screenshot ?

Hi,All you suggested were tested. No wanted difference at all. I also tried with "Unpause on FS ready status" with no luck too. I don't know...It's really strange...Maybe the existence of those 4 options together (Pause, unpause, ignore,etc) made the whole thing more complicated and created a subtle internal program conflict, which, by reason of its nature (not so important to be noticed by the majority of users) was overlooked by all. ASv6 starts and finishes normally, but when FS is active and refresh button is pressed, ASv6 gets stuck at the first four-letter code airport it has to update, eg. LATI, and procedure stops there until the FS situation is loaded. Soon after flight is loaded, it takes several seconds to depict the weather. This did not ever happen in the past, as soon as flight was loaded the weather depiction was there already. Unchecking all 3 options you suggested did not helped to eliminate it.OK John, you are very busy with replying to many people about other more serious issues. If you want, give one more try and if no good, let's leave it. Now that B435 is out for ASA, I may reinstall it again. By the way, ASA takes longer than ASv6 to depict wx to a flight. Could you make it faster in the future ?And some questions about ASA: Since the program has been adjusted to set a present weather with "weather influenced" graphics and it does it well, why take wx snapshots and save them ? And every time I want to reinstall ASA, I must first install ASv6.5, and later I can uninstall ASv6.5, right ? Regards

Hi,If FS is busy loading then AS stops sending data.ASA is doing a lot more than ASv6.5 so it is going to take longer. We have maximized the performance as much as possible.The snapshots are graphics snapshots not wx snapshots.That is correct about installing.Thanks,

One last question: How can FS be busy while he is already loaded and waiting for me to "Fly now"? I say it because during options testing (check-uncheck) I did see an AS message "FS is busy, standby.....".Thanks
