OK, let's assume it is so about TCAS (I doubt it). The same happens for the WXR too ? (I strongly doubt it too).

If you mean this (screenshot), it doesn't do the test. All serious addons have got TCAS test button. What about WX radar test ? Probably missing too...

Thanks for your response. Do you start flying without testing TCAS and WX radar ? As I didn't find any such switch, I am now asking other QW users.

I have good news for myself. I ticked EA, the stars are back, unticked EA and stars are still in place ! This is an example of "welcome to computers' world".... By the way, there is no preferences.cfg file in : AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5. As I see, the job was done. Many thanks once more !

First of all, many thanks for your help Ray. Following the conversation we had, I see two options for myself : 1. Use EA (which I don't want) to see the stars during night flights, or, 2. Revert to v5.4, in which it appears that the issue had been fixed at the time of v5.4 release. Many thanks again, Sotiris. P.S. Where does preferences.cfg reside ?

I don't really think it's an OS related issue. A setting option maybe ?

Running win10 Pro 22H2 build 19045.6466, not wi11.

I installed AutostarX, replaced stars.dat, but did not do anything better. Something else should be the culprit.

I found that stars.dat file and it is where it meant to be, but no luck. I reinstalled the client, but this changed nothing. I looked for that file in .cab files, but they are coded to unknown filetype. Do you think I should reinstall content and scenery too ?

Hi Ray, Thanks for your response. Tonight I realised that there are no stars in the night sky. Two-three months ago I rolled back from P3Dv5.4 to V5.3HF2 as you suggested the latter to be more stable with less stutters. I installed v5.3 client, content and scenery. It is the first time to notice that stars have disappeared. Any ideas how to bring stars back to the night sky ?

I am now evaluating the possibility to upgrade to win11 from win10 and I 'm making a research about possible compatibility issues for some sim tools I currently use. These are : ADE 1.79, AI Flow & AI Ground, AIFP3, AI-aircraft Editor, AITA2014, STBv5 (P3D), and SceneryConfigEditor v1.1.9. Any issues reported with win11 ? Thanks, Sotiris

Hi, I have found the above tool very useful with handling AI traffic in P3Dv5 for quite some time. I believe I would not manage my sim's AI traffic without it. As it has some glitches, I 'd like to know whether there is any other newer tool like that. As far as I know, Peter van de Veen has long ago stopped the developing of that tool.

Yes, they are. Does the 5.3.17.28160 include HF2 ? If I uninstall the remaining P3D entry with add/remove programs will I lose addon sceneries & addon aircraft and have to reinstall them ? Which are the "any other files" ?

Ray, Thanks for your response. Understood, but the problem is that I have in my disposal the client only and not scenery & content individually. I have the full reinstall exe as an alternative, but I hesitate to do a full reinstall. That's the reason of my query.

Ray, I use v5.4 too. As you say v5.3HF2 has no stutters at all, I wonder if I could roll-back to it using the client.msi only ? Thank you, Sotiris

I finally sorted it using the ADE exclude-all function. Many thanks for your eagerness to help me out. Finally I want to assure you that those unwanted buildings were there even using the default (stock) airport. And a question : what do APT initials stand for ? P.S. Apparently APT means airport, OK.

I did remove the custom airport abd the list still contains the same three files which remain grayed. Please note that with custom airport removed, when open P3D, the same oddity is still there. That means the default has the same defect.

OK, I found it but it presented 3 files plus an ALT correction file. What can I do now with that list ? The disable-enable buttons are grayed. https://imgur.com/a/C5sv4rn
