August 19, 200916 yr Hi everyone,This is with the Wilco Airbus series 1.After not getting very far myself with this problem I thought I'd ask you good people to see if you have any ideas as it's driving me up the wall. The story goes like this...I did several flights yesterday and it occured on all of them. This is the general process:-1) I'm in the cruise and all is going well.2) My speed suddenly starts to drop off. I have the AT enabled with the throttle set to speed.3) I attempt to correct by increasing the throttle to full and disengadging the AT. Note the aircraft is not pitching up at the moment. This makes no difference and my speed continues to fall.4) Eventually the aircraft starts to pitch up. This causes A-Floor and the AP turns off.5) The aircraft is so out of trim I have to push hard on the stick to bring the nose down. The speed increases as I pitch down but because the aircraft it's so badly out of trim I struggle to regain total control.6) Eventually I manage to regain control of the AT and select Speed on the throttle.7) Assuming I can engadge the AP at this stage it just goes crazy increasing my pitch and restarting the whole process.8) If I then lower the altitude and select OP descent and then engage the AP the aircraft sorts itself out.I recorded the whole process as it's far easier to see that way.http://www.inet24.co.uk/wilcoairbusproblem.wmvI'm not sure if it's something I am doing wrong but it only happens in the cruise. At first I thought it was >=FL but that doesn't appear to be the case. I have the wing, eng and probe AI turned on.I'm running FSINN to connect to Vatsim and have the FSINN weather disabled as I know there is a bug that causes a similar problem to mine. That didn't however make any difference.Any help you can give me to correct this problem will be very much appreciated. All the bestAndy

There is a patch to correct this on their website.
August 19, 200916 yr Author There's a problem with the auto trim. There is a patch to correct this on their website.I have the latest update. Is there a patch just for this hidden somewhere?
August 19, 200916 yr I have the latest update. Is there a patch just for this hidden somewhere?Well if you have the latest patch, then you may have another issue. I had a similar issue when disengaging AP that was fixed by a patch.
August 19, 200916 yr Andy:looking at the small video (size of window, not the length it seems you have run into one of the windsheer issues that FSX's displays.looking at the upper left corner of the MFD and i see the values changing ... this is causing the airspeed of the airbus to change at such a rate the panel logic cannot keep pace. this is an FSX issue that can happen with sudden large changes in wind direction and speed.if you had been using FSINN you may have old data in winds aloft. i suggust you set FSX's weather to clear and fly offline to see if the airspeed issue occurs.in FS9 this was overcome (mostly) the with the payware version of FSUIPC. i'm not sure if the payware verson of FSUIPC for FSX has yet fully overcome FSX's weather faults (i use only the freeware verson of FSUIPC for FSX).for further support -http://forum.iemit.comalso search the old support for the airbus at -http://iemit.com/forum-- D. August 20, 200916 yr Author Thank you for the reply Scoob. I'll do as you suggest and let you know how I get on. All the best.Andy
August 22, 200916 yr Author Quick update. I tried the same procedure without any weather, clear skies etc and no fsinn loaded. Same issue as before. I also tried it with an A340 from the airbus series 2, same problem again. I'm going to remove both addons and re-install them to see if that makes any difference. I tried it with the captain sim 757 and the problem did not appear. The aircraft started to oscillate from left to right a little at about FL375 but that soon sorted itself out.CheersAndy
August 30, 200916 yr Author I've finally solved this problem. It appears that even though I enable probe heat it's not actually functioning. I have disabled freezing in ASA and hey presto it works like a charm. Not ideal but I can live with it. Just have to remember to enable and disable accordingly. Hope this helps someone else.CheersAndy
