Original Aircraft cfgs....where?

Featured Replies

I messed around a little with a few of my default aircraft cfgs. Piper, DC3, King Air. Where on my FSX disks exactly can I find the original cfgs to restore? Thanks.Stan

You might try removing the cfg's in question (cut and paste them to a temp folder elsewhere) and then running the Repair option on your FSX install disk. It "should" restore the cfg files. This is exactly why it is always wise to make a backup of any file you plan to edit prior to doing the editing.Good luck!

Yeah...I made the classic mistake of not backing up. Probably because I used these files successfully from this website with my old computer system. I'd rather not do a "repair" on FSX because my system is running so well and so smoothly. I'll live without those planes if I have to. I wrote the author of the new configs to see if he knows what happened.I've also wondered if someone would email me the original cfg files for the Piper Cub, DC3, King Air. That would help me. The Caravan, Airbus, and Cessna 172 config changes worked, and they feel better with the changes.Stan
