L-39

Hi, No, I don't work for Lotus or even know anyone who knows Mike, but I am so pleased with the L-39 that I have to write about it. I have thousands of dollars of add-ons and many thousands of hours of simulation flying over the past 10 years, so I don't impress that easily. That is what makes the L-39 so special to me, it is like having a new simulator when I fly it, not just for its realism or how frames friendly it is , but for its extraordinary fun coefficient. I know that there are other great aircraft for their time, and I have lots of them sitting in my hanger. Anything from Real Air was a huge step forward, and I own 3 of them. I love tooling around in Holger's world in Aerosoft's Twin Otter and Beaver, and have fond memories of the complex 737s, 767s and 747s of yesteryear, but for me, for now, the technological bar is raised so high by the L-39 that I can not go back to any of them. I tried, but its too far back, too far behind, and not enough fun. Thanks for listening. Now I feel better getting that off my chest. :)Stephen

I know what you mean. I agree completely! When I first heard about it, I thought it was just another Flight sim addon. It wasn

Yeah, I just read the review and it looks amazing. Tell you what: if you liked this, hop over to Vertical reality Simulations' website, and give their F/A-18E a look. I reviewed it some months ago and was impressed by it in a way I've never been of a Flight Simulator addon. Alas, there is no FSX version yet, but they hope to release it before the year ends. In the meantime, you can read my review and look at the FS9 screenshots. Remember: the visuals of the FS9 version will only get better in FSX: it'll prove to be a stunning aircraft in FSX!
