August 25, 200916 yr Hi everybody, let me tell you what I wanna do first:I want to disassemble a bgl file from a 3rd party scenery (NOT THE AFCAD FILE ) to remove some structures at the buildings. But when I try to decompile it with one of theknown programs (e.g. ScDis, Newbglanalyze etc) I get nothing but error messages. Sometimes the decompiler says "abnormal termination", sometimes I get multiple errormessages or the program ( FSSC [i know not fpr FS9 but I hoped] or AFW both Version 2.6 and 3.0 ) loads the files but doesn't show anything but a black window with a grid. Hre is my question: Does someone know what I am doing wrong (maybe it is an obvious problem) and is able to help me?Any help on this matter would be so very welcome. Thanks in advance.Mike

August 27, 200916 yr Author error messages: abnormal program termination ( in console based programs like bglanalyze. )in window based progs there are error messages that tell me something about error is the headers and stuff like that ( hope this helps a little, since I'm at work I don't have the correct message ).Why don't make exclusions? This is because I do not want to remove entire buildings but only the jetways because they are unrealistic small and that looks ugly. In additionI want to remove some fences. The file was created in 2006. That's another question: If there is a way to determine if a certain bgl is of the new or the old kind. Why I think that there is something in it to decompile?I think this because there has to be something in the gbl as I tried every bgl in the scenery folder of that scenery and the object have to be somewhere, right?I hope this helps.Mike
August 27, 200916 yr Author error messages: abnormal program termination ( in console based programs like bglanalyze. )in window based progs there are error messagesMikeregarding the error messages: FSSC for example has this message: " Type mismatch at 363 in header.cls. press ok to continue,or cancel to ignore future similar messages."or"Type mismatch at 371 in header.cls. press ok to continue,or cancel to ignore future similar messages."AFW 3 still shows only black screen with white grid, even although bglanalyze9 said "file contains scenery object data" during decompiling.

In additionI want to remove some fences.Well if the jetways are separate from the buildings you can probably use a small exclude to get rid of them and if they are part of the building then there will be no way to remove them without removing the building as well.
