August 27, 200916 yr I seem to spend most of my FS time flying from and around Edwards AFB these days. It's one of the most enjoyable areas of FSX I think and is made even better by the freeware Death Valley/HolgerMesh which is not very far away in an F-16. (here if you missed it - http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?autocom...p;showfile=525) However I would love to know if there is a custom AI traffic file for KEDW? Those rows of F-16's would look so much better if they were on a loop travelling from Nellis AFB to China Lake NAWS to Edwards! Is it covered by MyTraffic for example? I'm not sure what aircraft I would use for AI but after an amazing very low flying dusk flight from KEDW in an F-16 earlier this evening, I just wished I wasn't the only one up there!
August 27, 200916 yr Moderator There are some F-16 AI models out. You could download the models and write your own flight plans for them. It's not to hard. The only thing is that the F-16 model probably won't have the Edwards paint scheme you want, so you may have to repaint them to suit your taste.Check the Military Ai site: http://www.militaryaiworks.com/ for models. Also, there used to be some F-16 models here in the library. You will probably have to use FS9 ones because I don't think there are any FSX ones available. It wont make a difference though unless you are using DX10.Look for some package called ANG F-16. I remember I got a few F-16 models from a package the was from an Air National Guard kit.Good luck. It should be too hard to do what you want. Maybe one evening at most.BTW, you will probably have to mod the AFCADS/ADE's for the military airports in FSX since they dont usually have any parking spots, or very few of them. August 27, 200916 yr Moderator I looked at the site. Under this link: http://www.militaryaiworks.com/ammap/Maps/...List/index.htmlYou will find the F-16 tab opn the left with some packages that go to it. I would download the package then extract the models from it. Don't use the FS9 AFCAD that come with it because they can cause some anomalies. Once you have the models you can write the flight plans. August 28, 200916 yr Thank you cmpbellsjc. I do use DX10 exclusively but I'm sure I can find a workaround somehow. The traffic doesn't have to be made up of F-16's really, as long as it has a military connection. I will see what I can come up with.
