August 29, 200916 yr If you arn`t yet TANK/ENG turning off the override pumps in the higher tank,in your case number 2, untill the fuel is balanced will do the trick.In real world ops there is no need to balance unless you get an eicas message although a lot of people will balance fuel if they spot it out of routine. Also you need to satisfy yourself you dont have any underlying reasons for the fuel imbalance IE a fuel leak somewhere?CheersJon 787 captain.
