September 7, 200916 yr Hi,Just simple question, I was wondering how to predict the flight duration, according to the total distance and the wind maps.I use to have some graphs in the other aircraft manuals, but how to do that with this plane ?Thanks.Matt.
September 7, 200916 yr It isn't really much of an operation issue because the flights are generally short compared to the big iron you may be used to. A rule of thumb is to figure about 280kts plus or minus the average wind, but the longest flight you are likely to make will be around 3 hrs. I suggest 280 although TAS can be as high as 300 as an allowance for climb/descent. I think you will find that flying around the terminal area to line up for approach will have more impact on your ATE than winds. Dan Downs KCRP
