Active runway utility

Featured Replies

Anyone know of any program that might tell you which runway FS2004 ATC has determined to be active, when you are approx 200nm from your destination?I am actually a real-world pilot, so please understand that I know active runways are based on wind. It's just difficult to determine when the winds are light and variable which runway is active. Often the STAR I set up for is the opposite runway in such circumstances, and I can't tune ATIS far enough away from the airport to be useful. So I'm looking for some utility, I guess. Thanks...- daniel

ATC of FS is terrible (but I guess you already noticed). In the past I checked the winds via ActiveSky to determine it myself. Most of the times FS still picked a wrong rwy.Nowadays I use Radar Contact that actually uses the wind to determine a correct rwy. 200nm...I don't think RC will be able to give weather at that distance.
