TrackIR 5 and J41

Featured Replies

I've found TrackIR 4 works well in J41 VC. Has anyone used the new TrackIR 5 in J41. Is it worth upgrading?By the way well done PMDG in a beautiful aircraft J41. :(

I've got the 5 version - I've never had any of the previous ones so can't compare - but it works beautifully with the J41 cockpit. I have to say that TrackIR does make the whole sim flying infinitely more realistic; I was very surprised.James

hello James, in the trackir videos, i notice the pilots wearing earphones is this a must for the product or are they listening in on ATC. thanks. richard welsh

Earphones are not required, I've had both 4 and 5 -, TrackIR 5 is a bit smoother and has a wider angle of view which is a nice plus, but if you're happy with 4 I wouldn't rush to upgrade unless the money isn't an issue.

I've got 5 as well. Never tried 4 but all those who ask me "What are the differences between 4 and 5?". I would respond that it has a much higher resolution camera (smoother panning) and a wider viewing angle. I suppose those are the prime features.
