Good AfternoonFirstly, thanks for the great aircraft. This is my first PMDG.I have read the forum on the apparent problems with the FMC and crashes or lockups. I purchased the aircraft this morning and started to have lock ups during the loading of a saved flight plan. The only way to exit was CTL-ALT-delete keys. I used FS Commander to save the plan, and I checked that it was in the FSX documents as well as the PMDG flightplan folder. I couldnt understand why, after deleting the plan and redoing the plan again still caused a lockup.I deleted the FSX cfg file and started that again, but still locked up on selecting the plan.I noticed that Simconnect had stopped and was asking regarding something I have never seen before, "World Magnetic Model". The option is h for help or c for continue. Entering "c" does nothing, so simconnect hangs. I'm wondering if this affecting others as well.I'm running FSX on Vista64many thanksLaurie Burgess

Interesting, I am forwarding the url for this thread to the developer. I do know that the FMS needs to load mag var info to resolve tracks within flight plans, but have no idea how that is done.Try a simple test: Archive all your rte flightplans in the pmdg folder in a zip file so you don't loose them, and then emply the folder and try the FMS. This will test if there is a flightplan that is causing a problem, and it is easy to restore the rte files. Thanks.

Morning DanThanks for the reply. All I can do is wait for SP1. I tried again last night using the tutorial plan instead of the FS Commander constructed one just as a test. I even made a plan using FSBuild, but the same event happened with simconnect. There are only two plans in the PMDG folder.Fab job on the aircraft though.many thanksLaurie Burgess
