Wilco 777 panel freezing and black plane

Featured Replies

Hey people, Just brought the Wilco 777 add on which runs perfectly until occasionally the livery goes black and the panels freeze. By this i mean the clock stops, the altitude dosent respond just basically everything on the panel, as well as the FMCI am running it in Windows Vista, with a 2.9ghz processor. The PMDG 747 runs fine and so does the 757 Captain Sim so i dont think its my spec. I am running Direct X 9 not 10.Would appreciate it if anyone could help me out,Cheers Shane

Have you tried turning off "Desktop Composition" ?I believe you Right click on your Desktop and it will be an option.I don't run Vista but believe I have seen that suggestion in other posts.EDIT Added:I was mistaken how you do that - this is where that option is to be found:Right click the FS9 shortcut or exe file, click on Properties, and under the Compatibility tab, check "Disable desktop composition".

Yes. But I have enabled (checked) the setting "Disable visual themes". Never read anything about the "Disable desktop composition".Wilco states on their site that they don't support 64 bit OS.You might get help at Feelthere forums: http://forum.iemit.com/The forum "Unofficial technical discussion products developed by feelThere" seems to be the right one.Have you installed the service pack for the 777 FSX (from 2007) found at the Wilco site? Or maybe your downloaded installer is up to date.
