September 18, 200916 yr Anyone using the GF MCP Autopilot with the J41? I have a Saitek Yoke and twin throttle set along with an X-52 Joystick/throttle that I control via a registered version of FSUPIC. This has worked well for me so far but I wanted to get away from using the mouse so much to control the AP. I read in earlier threads that the J41 might have some issue supporting Go Flight modules but I did not pay too close attention because at the time I didn't have any. I hope that the MCP will work without much fuss? If anyone is using it or other GF products please let me know if you are controlling them with GF Software, FSUPIC or both? Thanks in advance,Robert Thomason
September 19, 200916 yr It currently doesn't work with any AP hardware or the keyboard for that matter as it doesn't use basic FSX SDK controls for things like heading, altitude and VS bugs. PMDG say they will try and add support for this type of hardware in SP1 but they make zero promises. Cheers, Andy.
September 19, 200916 yr Ouch! That bites...I was scared that was going to be the answer because I have tried to use FSUIPC to create "mouse macros" for switches on the overhead panel to no avail when they could not be operated via the normal keyboard commands. This as really limited my ability to use the hardware I have now let alone the MCP and other gear I look to purchase in the future.I love the J41 and thankfully clicking switches in the VC is easy enough (I use track IR) but hopefully PMDG will be able to include support for more hardware in SP1. Respecfully,Robert
September 19, 200916 yr I too have a couple of Go Flight Modules wishing to incorporate their use in flying this wonderful aircraft.
