September 21, 200916 yr core i7 920 (oc 3.5) Corsiad 1066 X 6 gigs Nvidia GTX 260 890 Mb Running a 22" Monitor @ 1680x1050 Vista x64 FSX Sp2 REX 2.0 FTX PMDG JS4100 Ok, so that what I have. Could it be possible that I am bottle necked? For example, in the Spot plane view I can get seriously like 115 FPS (no problem), but soon as I go into the VC I get a drop to about 22 FPS when look at say FTX's Avalon Airport. Same with the 2D panel, I can get crazy High frame rates. I obviously know that the VC requires more "power" but this much? I don' even have my sliders high. This ####### me off, I built this computer so that I'd never have to worry about this crap, and yet, still I do. SO, if it where your computer what would you do? Thanks.j t collins

Thanks.j t collinsI'm running a Q9650, 285GTX, XP Pro 32, 4 gigs of CorsairPC6400 @800, Overclocked at 3.6 with a FSB of 400, with REX2.0 GEX, UTX and the J41 and I'm getting rock solid 30FPS in the VC locked at 30 FPS. Unlocked I'm getting 40 in the external and about 25-40 in the VC (Unlocked I get bad Graphics FPS spikes and the system runns better locked.)With your system, I would expect you to get atleast 15% better than what I'm getting. You say your getting bad performance in the 2D as well, but I find that strange, since there is no 2D panel in the J41. Is this with full screen enabled or in window mode?JB Buzz313th

September 22, 200916 yr Commercial Member This ####### me off, I built this computer so that I'd never have to worry about this crap, and yet, still I do. SO, if it where your computer what would you do? Thanks.Ok, you are running a high-end aircraft addon, at a highly detailed, resource demanding airport that uses 60cm per pixel ground textures, and on top of that, you are running a weather addon that uses ultra high resolution bitmaps for clouds. You are probably running some traffic, with your scenery slider at max and your autogen slider north of normal. You are getting 22 fps in the VC on the ground. Exactly what are you expecting? You have a gtx 260, which is a bit slower than some of the higher end cards out there. If you are looking for a bottleneck, that may be it. But don't expect to gain more than a fistful of frames running 3 high end addons if you upgrade to a 285 or 295.My best advice to you is to exclude your fsx folder from virus scanning, turn off bloom, turn off aircraft self shadowing, lower your water detail slider, stop staring at the fps counter, and start enjoying these three exceptional addons. Also, as a friendly reminder, please sign your posts with your full name. There are a lot of folks out there with J as their first initial. Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
