  1. LOL, I wouldn't be surprised if the IP agreement between LM and MS includes the future option for MS to distribute an entertainment version of P3D once LM has redeveloped and recoded ESP/P3D. But I don't ever see LM distributing an entertainment software suite. They don't have the infrastructure, nor the business model to cater to the consumer market. Might make sense. Either way, it works for me.

  3. "CP" has an SO (Cruise Pilot) cadet program that I applied to. If you got minimum 1500TT, then Down to Adelaide for assesment, then Hong Kong for transition. Then into a Triple7 or 74 as a cruise pilot. They want a 6 year comitment. The HR interview was "very different" and a bit uncomfortable. Nevertheless, in one year, you can go from you CMEL with Instrument Rating into a "Transcontinental Airliner". Sure, your a Cruise Pilot, but I have heard they are buying planes like crazy and upgrade time to FO is short. Real question is... Do you wanna work for them for minimum 6 years.
  4. Crank up the volume and run it at the highest resolution you can... Hope you enjoy it..

  8. I am using FSRecorder in a multiplayer server during an air race, so that the judges can view the race afterward. The only problem I am having, is that durring playback, the aircraft labels seen durring the live multiplayer session are not showing up durring the playback. Does anyone know how I can record the aircraft labels durring the multiplayer recording to be seen durring playback in free flight? Is it even possible? JB
  9. Well I guess I heard wrong. Just a rumor :) JB
  10. Time for a juicy rumor. Not sure if it's true, but here we go. PMDG makes the model, textures, VC and A2A brings their unmatched technical achievments to make this aircraft Accusimable. So you initially buy the product from PMDG and then if you choose, you buy the accusim module from A2A. :) JB
  11. I don't have FS9, so I am not at all familiar with the correct registry entries. Best bet is to ask this question in the HIFI forums and someone will get back to ya. Wait, now come to think of it, I believe it's in the manual... Hold on.... Here... http://www.hifisim.com/ASEUserHome/Documentation/ASE.pdf Page 55 But if you don't wanna look at the manual, here is a copy of the relevant section. WARNING: Edit the registry at your own risk. Modifying improper registry keys can result in computer problems. The registry settings that need adding if you are having an issue with ASE locating your server version are: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HiFi\ASE\FS9Path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HiFi\ASE\FS9AppDataPath HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HiFi\ASE\FSXPath HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HiFi\ASE\FSXAppDataPath These paths must point to your server versions i.e. (Examples only, enter your correct paths not the values below). \\VISTA-DESKTOP\Flight Simulator 9\ for the FS9 installation path \\Vista-desktop\fs9\ for the appdata path
  12. I'm outa town working, so I won't be able to for a week. Might be quicker if you can get it from someone else.
  13. Please tell me where to find the aircraft and celestial nav gauges I see in these screenshots.
  14. Thats one hell of a landing from one hell of a pilot. Perfect clearance over the trees, descended for the threshold and nailed it with a nice positive touchdown.
  15. Since everyone else is speculating, I'll do a little as well.IMHO, I don't think PMDG wants to share the market with anyone. They will probably wait to see how succsesfull the Majestic bird is so they know what they will have to do to compete with.
  16. Yeah.. I'm able to bring up the ambience just enough that I am able to see just the outline of the switches. It also helps if I turn down the overhead backlighting, then my eyes adjust just enough where its easier to see the switches and other 3d items. Fortunately on my system, after doing this does not introduce an a fog or overgamma situation that makes the rest of the pit look bad.
  17. Some of you that are having problems seeing the into the shadows such as the overhead.. Just try reducing contrast or very slightly increasing brightness either on your video card driver or directly on your monitor. Bring it up just enough so you can see the switches.
  18. Personally I don't think it's a big deal.. I fly in windowed mode anyway, so a watermark isn't gonna be a gamestopper for me. Might be worth it to do some research and find out how big the watermark is.Furthermore, I would guess that some bright soul might be able to find a way to remove the watermark.
  19. Compliments from, "TheGrunt" over at the A2A Forums.Lockheed Martin has launched a new licensing scheme for their P3D with new 1.3 version release. You can now purchase P3D for just $49.95. So, monthly fee for developers and expensive professional purchase is no longer required. Here is the news announcement:http://www.prepar3d.com/news/lockheed-m ... -students/Here is the info for new 50 buck licence. Home use is now official!:http://www.prepar3d.com/prepar3d-academic/Version 1.3 release notes:http://www.prepar3d.com/prepar3d-versio ... hange-log/ My question is....Might this change PMDG's stance on whether or not to support their addons for P3D?
  20. If you have any of the Accusim birds, you will see an ingenious way they simulated hypoxia. If not attended too, the sim will black you out. Pretty well done.
  21. And automation doesn't make it any better. Some people believe that the increased automation helps to make room for better situational awareness. I disagree, I think more automation just gives one the option to be lazy. The busier you are durring a flight the sharper your forced to be. The more engaged in your job, the easier it is to stay awake. Lower the temperature in the flight deck so it's not so darn comfortable. The FAA just recently mandated freindlier terms to Flight Crew Scheduling and Turn Arounds. The next step is for the companies to step up and help the issue.
  22. And for good reason, as there are still other aircraft flying around VFR and not talking to a controller up to 180
  23. Spin, I found the FAA MMEL on google... See my above post. I edited it since your last post.So I take it the interior cockpit lighting isn't too important, or lemme rephrase that... It's not important enough that the FAA mandates any particular procedure limitations to fly with one or even all of the lights inop. If you follow the MMEL word by word, one can legally fly a revenue flight with the flashlights onboard (If the flashlights are considered cockpit lighting) and all the other lights inop.Again... Pilot discretion.JB
