September 23, 200916 yr Hi, just bought pmdg 747-400, which i must say is a superb add-on. im still sort of getting to grips with the fmc but i can program my route, approaches... vrefs and things... but im having a problem with the heading select on auto pilot. the autopilot will climb and hold altitute correctly, and works correctly on ils approaches... but i can't seem to get it to fly where im trying to direct it! if i click on Lnav it will turn and head for what im guessing is the gps route on the display.anyone else got this aircraft and had similar problems?
September 23, 200916 yr LNAV is used to follow what you have programmed in the FMC or VORs, etc. You need HDG hold mode if you want to 'hold a heading'.
