737 FMC

Featured Replies

B737-700 Every once in awhile when I program my FMC at an airport with a generic SID, such as Buffalo, I get a VECTOR as the first waypoint. Problem is that this waypoint is never met and I can't remove it to continue on my route. i've looked in the manual and can't seem to find any mention of it.Can anyone help me resolve this issue.

Buffalo does not have departure procedures. The one SID is vectors only, no route. After departure fly to your first filed fix either using ATC such as VATSIM or self navigating. Hint, you can promote the first fix to the top line on the LEGS page, hit EXEC and the FMS will go to that fix direct.Try my sidstar collection (flightsim.com file pmdg0910.zip) where at KBUF I provide departure routes similar to ATC routing for eight fixes/airways from all runways.
