Dual sound card

Featured Replies

Another question. If I have enabled my onboard mobo Realtek sound card and I also have an addon Audigy4 enabled, can I run sound to both of these cards or can I run certain applications on one and some on the other? How about if I put my headphones and mic on the Audigy will they still work if the Realtek has the speakers attached? I have tried this setup but am not successful in sending sound to both cards simultaneously.Any help would be appreciated.ThanksShez

I run my onboard sound and I have a soublaster x-treme gamer card as well. Some applications like FScopilot allow you to specify specific output devices during the configuration process. In FSX, you can select one sound device for "sound" and another for "voice" in the windows sound configuration area inside FSX. I also do the same thing with DCS:Black Shark. The game sounds use the default OS sound device as configured in the control panel(sound blaster) while my Teamspeak application is configured to use the headphones and MIC via the soundmax card.
