September 30, 200916 yr Author Commercial Member This crash occurs when the FMS internally attempts to enter approach mode. Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61472.0 Application Timestamp: 475e17d3 Fault Module Name: PMDG_MD11.DLL Fault Module Version: 10.0.61355.62 Fault Module Timestamp: 49b7c81d Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00118301 OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033Additional information about the problem: LCID: 1033Read our privacy statement: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=501...mp;clcid=0x0409 Best regards,Robin.
September 30, 200916 yr FMS.80.1 may be of help to enter the 'new' destination and approach in the correct sequence, and prevent a CTD.Use a DIR TO (any place on earth/KPT in the manual), from there select your SID/APPR.You also may need to re-enter the present cruise level on INIT Page 1.Regards,Harry
September 30, 200916 yr Author Commercial Member >> You also may need to re-enter the present cruise level on INIT Page 1.I'll have another look at this. Last few attempts, I couldn't.Whilst the method in the manual might get around the CTD, I still don't expect it to CTD.Thanks for the page reference.EDIT: Tried that already, and also the DIR TO. I did the DIR TO after managing to successfully select a STAR and clear the DISCO. I then DIR TO the first waypoint of the approach. Was OK until I was abeam the airport flying down wind, then CTD. APPR page was already visible, but no data.Best regards,Robin.
September 30, 200916 yr Author Commercial Member Something to do with waypoint sequencing and direction/angle the aircraft is coming at it from.Same crash again, having successfully done a go-around, I was on a down wind the same as before, but having already DIR TO the first waypoint of the approach. As I came close to the waypoint - CTD as above.Best regards,Robin.
