September 30, 200916 yr Evening all, My load manager won't...erm,....load :( I just get this instead:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\PMDG\MD11_LoadManager.exeThe application failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail." Anyone any ideas on how to fix this please, Thanks for any forthcoming tips, Frederick Brown FS9/Vista 64bit
September 30, 200916 yr I've seen this error reported several times recently but not sure which fixes it, running repair to get the runtime libraries setup or making sure admin rights apply in Vista. Try both. Dan Downs KCRP

September 30, 200916 yr I did a quick search, which you could do too, and found: http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=248272The problem is the runtime libraries. Try running the installer and select repair both times. Dan Downs KCRP

Nice one Dan, I tried the repair scenario & it never worked - so I pulled the 2008 redist from microsoft & it worked :) all I have to do now is to figure out why the liveries won't install :( cheers, Frederick Brown
October 1, 200916 yr Regarding livery installation, you didn't describe the problem but double check the installation path that the installer comes up with and make sure the string is correct and ends with a "/". Hope this helps. Dan Downs KCRP

October 1, 200916 yr It should be the path to your FS.I need to know the exact path to confirm that I'm inputting the right info. The path to the sim ends in \fs9 - but do I browse further, to \aircraft\md11\ Muchas Gracias, Frederick Brown
October 2, 200916 yr I recommend you allow it to use the default path, which should be to the root directory of your FS. The path script should end with a / which some have reported missing, which would happen if the registery entry was incorrect. Keep it simple. Dan Downs KCRP
