While you cannot edit anything on the panel its self you could simply add another 2d window with your gauge on it and call it up with shift-6 (i believe is the fist unused pop up window). You won't be able to modify anything on the VC since 99% of it is modeled in 3d and thus doesn't use traditional gauges which is all FSPS can work with. FSPS will how ever make that new 2d window for you.
