Courtesy follow-up to "fatal Error" question

Although I had 39 views to my post, I had no responses. Over time, however, I was able to fix the problem and thought posting that fix may help others. I learned from other posts how to delete my FSX.CFG and text file from my Documents and Settings, etc. file, restart FSX and allow it to rebuild those files. As FSX was loading, it would ask me if I wanted Acceleration to set my assignments(I do have Acceleration),I clicked "yes", and it asked me if I wanted to load the newest FSUIPC,to which I also clicked "yes". The fatal error message continued to occur. The most recent time, however, I just took a chance and clicked "no" to loading the most recent FSUIPC. Amazingly, no more fatal error message and all is well. I am not savvy enough to know why this fixed the problem, but I'll take the end result. Hope this is helpful to someone else. Bob K.
