vc problem dc-3 passenger

Featured Replies

Can someone please explain to me why there is a slight gap through the insulation on the pilots side in vc mode? Using fs9 w/ passenger dc-3. I recently checked all of the other versions and they seem to be fine. My other post was wrong, when I stated that it existed in the other versions, sorry. Is there something I can do to remedy this issue? I already did a clean reinstall.

Can you give me a bit more info about where exactly you see this gap, Spartan ?.... Preferably post a screenshot here ?.....Do you use one of the older models with which the VC is not clickable yet ?Cheers,Jan

Thanks for your reply. I downloaded the maam dc3 less than a year ago. My vc is clickable, but not every item of course, I beleive this is normal for the passenger version. The gap is on the captains' side.

Ah, yes, i see... That's indeed a small quirck in the older model that sneaked by the otherwise pretty eagle-eyed beta team ( yeah, yeah, blame it on the betateam... :( ) Probabely a couple vertexes which did not get welded. Afraid nothing can be done about that except issueing a new mdl file, Spartan. Just too bad i didn't get a chance to update the DC-3 passenger models like has been done with the militairy C-47 models. If it's any concelation for you, rest assured that the real DC-3 cockpits weren't exactly watertied either.. :( cheers,Jan

Is there an update available? If in fact this is an older model. I thought I downloaded the latest updated dc-3. Is it possible at all, to correct this, it just ruins the whole experience of flying the passenger version, which is the only one I enjoy to fly.

Hi Spartan, sorry about the late reply, i'm trying to get our first native FSX model going, just about needs all my attention. Could you possibly post a screenie of the external model that you are using ? Preferably from the port side so i can see which pax door setup is used. ( if you use the model with starboard side pax door a screenie won't be needed ) If i know which exact model you're using i might be able to dig it out of my Gmax lib and correct the problem. I could then send you a new mdl file. Cheers,Jan

Thank you Jan for your response. It is the passenger UAL model, starboard pax door. THANKS!

Hi Spartan,Did my best, fixed the gap, while it was about clear that it wouldn't work... A picture tells a thousand stories : dc3_2big.jpgThat's quite a Gooney bird,

I was flying the DC3 last night and found that even my version of the plane had the gap in the VC textures. I bought the plane about 4 or 5 months ago and really didn't fly it but once or twice and never noticed the gap. It is the model with the pax door on the right hand side of the plane. I haven't checked to see if it was in the C-47 model. This was in FS9 that I was flying last night.

Thanks for trying to rework the model Jan. I will try your suggestion for the R4D version, once again thanks for your time and effort.
