FSX Aircraft Converted From FS9

Featured Replies

I have always experienced a graphic's problem using A/C that claim to be FSX compatible (Eaglesoft Citation X, Overland SMS, Aerosim 777). I have seen many posts stating that no problem using such. On every occasion I have used such A/C and after flying for more than an hour or more, my graphics go amock when switching views (2D/3D). Sometimes the outside view of A/C completely disappears or switching (alt + ENTER) promotes problem. Sometimes normality return but most of the time I have to terminate FSX.Is there some Microsoft software I need to add to make these A/C reasonably usable? I have changed mother boards, CPU, memory, graphics card, sound card and OS (Vista 64 & Win7). I always start with clean system (OS & FSX) and have always experienced this problem. I don't have problem with default or PMDG 747X. I have followed all the setups, hints, and suggestions for proper setup for FSX but still experience this problem. "Throwing in the towel" has often occured to me but I think FSX, when working properly, is the best flightsim since when I was using 300baud modems to download addons for it.I really envy those of you that have their system tuned to FSX. I know there are a million things that could be the problem and perhaps I am the problem. If any of you have had a simular problem as I have described, I would appreciate any and all suggestions.ThanksWilbertASUS P5Q SE PLUS/Thermaltake W0106 700W PSUIntel E8500 - 3.10 OC TO 3.80/EVGA GTX285 2g memVista Ultimate 64 SP2/CORSAIR XMS2 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB)2x150GB SATA WD Raptor- No Raid/2x320GB SATA WD SE16- No Raid2x IDE Light-On DVDRW 165H653x SILENX 120X25MM FANS + 2x 10in XCLIO Wind Tunnel Case FansDanger Den Water Cooling/Enermax temp/fan controllerFSX ACC@ 1600/1200 |UTX/ASX/FEX/MTX/ASA/REX/UT2/FsPsgrsX/DBS W & F/PMDG 747/3D shockwave/USA & World Extreme Landscape/Aerosim 777

As you can see I have a pretty old system so I haven't ventured in to complex aircraft yet. I plan to upgrade in the next month or so. They usually are not my cup of tea anyway.I can tell you what I have been able to get working in FSX SP2. One thing I would suggest before you start the Google searches for the workarounds, Go to http://www.simviation.com. Since the AVSIM library was out of commission for a while, many of the needed files are over there. I can give you specifics if you have a question about one of the aircraft listed. Many require updates from their respective websites. Some complete packages are available at Simviation to make things easier.POSKY 737NG - working well aliased to the default 738vcProject Airbus packages - working well aliased to the default A321vcPOSKY 777 with vcPMDG Beech 1900 series - 1900c works great if you replace the prop textures, 1900D still has transparent textures in the vc.Overland (SMS) Airbus and Boeing package - see their update on their websiteCLS 747 - works great but FPS are lowCLS DC10 - fix in their forums for transparent textures in the vcCLS Airbus package - I think they work but I haven't check them out yet in detailCheck out the Tomas Ruth Airbus stuff that is being released. He did a nice job on his virtual cockpits. He did a combination of the A321 and original stuff.Again, This may not help with the more complex add ons but I hope it gives your asomething to fly. I'd love to see workarounds for the POSKY CRJ's and ERJ's if anyone knows anything
