October 8, 200916 yr I have been away from FS for a few years but now I'm back using FSX with my XP system. The problem is that my view keeps changing every few minutes. It is very annoying to be doing an instrument approach and suddenly find yourself outside the plane. I have to keep using the "S" key to regain cockpit view. Does anyone have an idea what would cause the view to change by itself? Is there any way to disable the other views?

October 8, 200916 yr I have no idea why it's happening but you could at least eliminate the joystick as a potential problem by unplugging it and flying around using just the keyboard. Also, if you have or can borrow another keyboard you could try the other keyboard to eliminate the possibility of a problem with the keyboard. Another possibility is to change the key used for changing views (currently S) to another letter to see if that has any effect. Hope this helps. Howard
October 8, 200916 yr I believe that I have found the problem. Button/switch 09 on the yoke was set to next view. The strange thing is I can set switches 01-08 and 12-20, but nothing for 09-11. so, even though I don't know what was triggering the view change, I disabled the switch.
