Hello,Would like some help with the following problem please. I did a complete install for PMDG MD-11 on FSX deluxe/acceleration edition using Vista. Once completed I shut down and rebooted the computer to have a go at the MD-11. The problem begins when the only aircraft to appear in the aircraft selection window on FSX is the PMDG livery GE and P&W freighter and pax versions. I select one of the MD-11 to show in the "Details" window and the aircraft model appears. I select "Fly now" and the aircraft display window goes black on most occassions and sometimes only displays the background image. Then FSX freezes up and a microsoft window appears saying "Fatal error occured microsoft will restart FSX" It restarts and the same thing happens when you select the MD-11. All other aircraft on FSX work just fine. I am sorry I am not a computer boffin, but can't wait to fly the MD-11 having read and seen some great reviews. This is a problem with the nanny-Vista features. The installers need to be run with admin rights, and put admin rights on the pmdg folder too.
