One more monitor question

Featured Replies

Greetings,Can someone please help me my head is spinning. I need a new monitor for my new build and I have done so much research my head hurts. Basically one simple question. Is 1080 a suitable resolution for any monitor 24" or less. I know you have to go 1200 for anything bigger but not sure if I really want to go that big. There aren't many 1200 choices in the 24" or less range. Thanks much, Chuck B.

Hi Chuck,If I am not mistaken, the 1080 resolution is usually used by an LCDTV. The standard native PC Monitor resolutions are as follows:24" - 1920x120022" - 1680x1050My 42" LCDTV that I use as my main monitor has a resolution of 1920x1080. Gauges are nowhere near as sharp with the LCDTV 1080 resolution as they are on a PC Monitor of any resolution.Bill

There are plenty of 21-23" monitors on the market featuring 1080p resolution. It is a fine resolution for a monitor of this size.
