Toe brakes work wrong way around

Hi all,I have two A-330-200 Airbusses in my FS9 but with different models, related textures, "Contact Points", light positions, etc., so I cannot combine them. Both fly as they should. I've been using a flight yolk with separate foot pedals for years.However, in one of these planes the differential toe brakes work the wrong way around, i.e. when taxiing and depressing the right toe brake the plane turns left and vica versa. The rudder and nose wheel steering work correctly. It's definitely a specific problem with this plane only, none of my other many planes show this behavior.I've compared both aircraft.cfg files and the only real differences are in the [Contact_points] section, so could this problem be somewhere in there ?I've also tried to change the "Toe_brakes_scale" in the [brakes] section from 1.000000 to -1.000000 (minus) and although this initially solves the problem, it seems that by doing so the wheels are powerd like a car's, even though the plane's throttle is at minimum. So this isn't the real solution either.Any ideas ?Hans

The panel itself is incomplete and not very usable so I deleted it and aliased to the panel in my other correctly working A330. However, that can not be the cause of this problem because there are no gauges in there which could have anything to do with the differential toe brakes. Parking brake - yes - but differential toe brakes - no.In the meantime I've also tried the other plane's AIR file but that didn't help either.Looking forward to your findings.Hans

If you are using FSUIPC, why not check the "reverse axis" box for the specific aircraft under the Axis Assignment or is it the Calibration tab?Jim D.

My download was about the plane .. not FSUIPC :)BTW I don't think FSUIPC is involved or must be involved for cure the OP problem IMHO.Regards.bye.gifGus.

Hey there Gus,I downloaded the basic A330-200 version from the Posky site and installed it. But ..... it had the same (structural) differential toe brake problem. However, I deleted the whole [Contact_Point] section and replaced it with the [Contact_point] section from your post above. That did the trick although I'm at a loss as to why and how.Anyway, all's well that ends well !!Thanks Gus.Hans

Thanks again Gus,Just one last question though:In the original [contact_points] section there's a second but slashed out portion which seemingly takes the double nose gear wheels and the four wheeled main gear bogies into account. There are ten gear contact points in total, plus all the scrape points which most probably have something to do with crash detection and such like things. I've also seen this in some other planes, e.g. the DC-10-40 which even has an aditional centrally positioned extra main gear together with their related contact points.In my initial efforts at solving my toe brake problem I activated this slashed out [contact_points] section and de-activated the active one, but it evidently contained many more errors causing even more problems, so I ditched it pronto. Would there be any advantages of all these extra contact points over my now active reduced ones, other than possibly producing a lot more touch down tyre smoke from many more wheels ?RegardsHans

To be honest I don't know.(Maybe related with the wingflex animation ?)It's also to be noted the static_cg_height= 11.920 is not the same as the one you use actually !Alsoto be added that unfortunately this A330 Posky model have the deffect of the main gear animation (rear wheels of the main gear sinking in ground when take off and landing .. and was never corrected .. model problem or FS2004 limitation I think .. nevertheless seem's some paywares don't suffer this prob if I remember well .... )Regards.bye.gifGus.
