vc windows transparency in rain

Featured Replies

hi,In FSX, I am flying with an FS9 aircraft which has just been modified by the designer (freeware) to be used with fSX. I have noticed that the vc windows stop being transparent when it is raining. How can I fix that? I suspect the VC textures of not being in an FSX compliant format.thank you for your help

No. FSX does not have the required vcrain textures. If you have Flight Simulator 2004 installed, you can find the VCRain*.bmp files here (default location): C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator 9\Texture. Paste these replacement versions of the VCRain*.bmp into the Flight Simulator X Texture folder. If you do not have FS9, then download and install http://www.fsinsider.com/tips/Documents/FS9VCRain.ziphttp://www.fsinsider.com/tips/Pages/Suppor...eintheRain.aspx

hi,Thank you. I would have bet that you would be the one to reply....How come that I have this problem with this aircraft only? When I select another aircraft, it works fine. So I don't understand. The windows have a bright light green colour and I can't see anything; It works OK in the 2D panel. :(

Simple. Not all FS9 models have vcrain enabled.
