Hi everyone.Right now I find my components aren't really cutting it for FSX. I get around 14fp/s average with my specs (Signature).What would be the most usuful thing to upgrade. I'm thinking the CPU? I wan't to get the i7, which would you guys recommend? I also heard that the price may drop when Inel realeses the i9, is it worth waiting?

You current setup looks decent. I'd say try to max your current cpu for now, maybe get a better cooler? I'm going to wait 6 months to upgrade, prices should be much more manageable.

.... tell u what. It's very personal and depend on your motivation, expectations, preferences, and of course the hole in the pocket ..... I just upgraded my CPU AMD II X3 720 (great 4 the Buck) to X4 II 955 ... and honestly, I didn't notice any major change in performance ..as we say " Not a big deal" .... though I consider my self as " Heavy User" I'm VFR Cessna low altitude (Turing style) guy, mainly using FS as a Training Aid tool ..... which cpu exactly do you have?

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600

well you may want to just upgrade to an e8400 or 8500 right now and overclock to hold you over for a while until prices come down.
