TinMouse 737-200 Autopilot problem

Featured Replies

Hi. I don't seem to be able to get the AP to work on this plane (everything else, including the Civa add-on INS works fine). I am pretty used to more modern APs, and also manage the DC-3 and so on, but I can't work this one out. When I click the Hold Alt dial, it snaps back to Man again, for instance. No description of the AP comes with the a/c download..Does anyone know where there is a tutorial for this AP (Sperry SP-77, I believe?) - I googled, but didn't find anything helpful. Or if anyone feels like writing one.. (?!)Thanks,Martin :-)

the tinmouse support forum is a great resource -http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showforum=253you must have the plane balanced and trimmed so your yoke/joystick is centered before turning on the autopillot. also important to have a large enough null space for your yoke/joystick as if there is any deflection the autopilot will not engage.--

Hi - I hadn't realised that AVSIM hosted a TinMouse forum. Thanks. Hopefully, I'll find what I need there. Could be that I was operating the AP OK but outside its normal parameters, as you suggest. Thanks,Martin
