I assume it has something to do with a step climb, but I thought the format was "FIX/M (mach speed)F (flight level).....for example TILLY/M084F350. What does the N0489 and N0496 signify? Many thanks Ron Priever
November 4, 200916 yr "N0489F260" represents the initial FL & Speed (ie. level off at FL260 and maintain 489kts)"MERLY/N0496F300" signifies a step climb & spd (ie. at position MERLY climb to FL300 then maintain 496kts)You will also sometimes see metric entries for certain parts of the world (ie. HUR/K0890S1080). The K0890 is speed 890 km/hr and the S1080 is altitude 10800 meters.RegardsBob
