cloning good working FSX installation to a new system

Featured Replies

Hi,I'm upgrading my system, yet I'm trying to transfer everything (OS and appls) there from the old one, FSX installation (150Gb) included, just to avoid wasting time with a new long install from scratch (I'm willing to keep the old rig functional as well)as I'm transferring FSX to a different hardware, I suspect that upon restarting it, activation will be required again, being FSX licensed for a single PC only: for that purpose I've bought a similar second copy (FSX ACC)will the second copy activation code be accepted for the cloned FSX, or does every activation code works only with the included dvds? (thence compelling me to reinstall everything on the new system...)thanks

My best guess is that it will work, and you could have used the original codes also.. I have moved FS9 and FSX to a newsystem without a hitch before.Bigger question is if the existing OS will be happy on the new system..
