October 29, 200916 yr After reformatting my computer (Boy, are porn and ED pop ups fun...), my AA in FS2004 went haywire. I have downloaded and installed nHancer and set it up again verbatim to the link in parenthesis, which worked flawlessly before. (http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=29041) Even though I do have AA, it is only for short distances. If it's further away, there are very noticeable jagged lines.Aircraft-wise, only the Captain Sim 757 is effected. I've reinstalled FS2004 AND the Captain Sim 757 with the update to no avail. There are also jaggies in the horizon with any aircraft, but I'm not worried about that. Here are some screenshots.Focus on the American Airlines logo:http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/4622/aaproblems3.pngHowever, when zoomed in, the jaggies disappear.:http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/1087/aaproblems4.pngSame thing thing happens when you are in the cockpit. This is where it actually becomes troublesome. Because of the jaggies, it is sometimes hard to read the heading and altitude settings on the autopilot. Focus on the glareshield and the F/O position in general.http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/5821/aaproblems1.pngWhen zoomed in:http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/5522/aaproblems2.pngMy video card is a nVidia 7950 GT if that helps. All help is appreciated.-Jon E Jon E.
October 29, 200916 yr Good morningNot a solution, but I wanted to add I experience the same issue since a few months. On a nVidia 8800 GT and now with my Ati 4870.it seems that edges are perfectly anti aliased, but textures and gauges are not. It make gauges really difficult to read (not smooth at all) and ai aircraft textures very aliased (especially logos). No matter what I tried : FS anti aliasing, nvidia or ati anti aliasing, Ati Trays tools, Riva Tuner, etc...
October 29, 200916 yr Hi,With my system, bitmaps that include mipmaps in the texture are nice and smooth, while textures that don't include them have jaggies. Perhaps that's the reason that the default planes are OK (they all have mipmaps), while the Captain Sim does not?Hope this helps, Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page

Heck, it even worked the first few times after I reinstalled Windows. It just randomly stopped working. Here are some screenshots from before:Unless I'm becoming mentally ill, there weren't any jaggies before.-Jon E. Jon E.
April 17, 201016 yr This is exactly the issue I'm dealing with right now. Maybe it's that mipmap thing; I don't know. Maybe something in the FS9.cfg? Anyway, it sure makes it tough to read the VC gauges sometimes.I issue I always notice is that stripes along the length of the fuselage on the AI aircraft look God awful because they are sooo jaggy.James
