  1. Ok, I completely forgot that I made this thread, so here are a few updates jumbled into one post."San Francisco"1/15/2011 - 5.1 Surround SoundThe SF sim will feature 5.1 Surround Sound, so if you have a 5.1 speaker system, it'll sound amazing. Each wheel produces its own sound and the engine will sound like it is actually behind the bus. When you are driving an articulated bus, the engine sounds will be different since the engine is located further away from the driver. 1/22/11 - Vehicle OverviewThis is just an overview of the vehicles that will be featured in the SF sim. You can walk inside all of the vehicles.Just a quick note: The vehicles in the sim do not have specific names due to licensing issues (I'm assuming). The names that I have provided are just assumptions based on pictures of the actual MUNI buses.http://entwicklerblo.../8433312971.jpgType: Neoplan AN440Number of seats: 41Dashboard controls: Doors, parking brake, driver window, air conditioning, kneeling, headlights, mirrors, multifunctional display, and wipers. You aren't limited to just your train anymore. The AI passengers also behave more realistically. They "look" for the door while trying to enter the train instead of just teleporting into it as seen in many other sims. Here is a video showing those features in-game. Keep in mind that this is a work in progress and that the train and seating positions of the passengers are not yet finished.
  2. I know many of you don't like McPhat's repaints (too shiny, dirty, etc) but I personally love them. Anywho, as the topic says, their American Airlines repaint for the PMDG MD-11 has finally been released!Link: http://www.mcphatstu...re-repaints-fsx
  3. http://gizmodo.com/5...of-murdered-sonWouldn't expect anything less from Southwest.
  4. These are great videos you are making. Thanks for sharing them with us. And I agree, nice choice in music...as with all of your videos.
  5. Amazing is an understatement.I can just see my computer having a heart attack while trying to run that.
  6. Hmmmm, that's odd. Here's a link to the image.http://www.tweakguides.com/images/GGDSG_19.jpg
  7. Although not from FSX, this is what people refer to when they talk about image tearing. It usually happens when VSync is off.
  8. Sadly, that is the response I've heard too. I agree, the snow effects in FSX leave a lot to be desired.
  9. Ok, so I reformatted and everything seems to be running smoother (could be placebo, dunno), but I can't get the external FPS limiter to work anymore. When I double click on the FPS_Limiter_GUI file, Windows doesn't recognize it and asks me what program I should open it with so I can't run it like I used to. What's worse is that I foolishly clicked WinRAR to open it and now I don't know how to revert it back to its original state. Now, I'm either forced to have "stutters" or low FPS from the default FPS limiter. Lovely.Anyone have a solution?
  10. Use the nVidia equivalent, the GeForce 200 series.
  11. If I remember correctly, they offer a paid membership that allows you to get faster downloads, etc. That might be the reason why. It doesn't really bug me too much but, one flight sim download website that really bugs me is Fly Away Simulations, which forces you to have a paid membership in order to download their files.
  12. Merry Christmas everyone! Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday.
  13. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not sure if I am willing to pay for that kind of service.I guess I will try reformatting then.
  14. Personally, I think it looks pretty cool.If I were to venture a guess, I would probably have to say that UTX is responsible for this so I would mess around with its settings to see if it fixes it. I personally don't own UTX, so I can't help too much in this department, but from what I see, this was supposed to happen.
  15. Thanks for the link! I'll try those solutions and report back.
  16. Ok, default is working relatively smoothly. I don't have any other add-ons besides the PMDG MD-11 and my new CS 727, but I haven't really started using that.Through my infinite wisdom, I forgot to mention that it was the PMDG MD-11 that was giving me problems. But even then, I expected my system to be able to handle that with most settings on low. And now, I don't know if it's actually low frame rates or stuttering. The in-game FPS counter says that I have an FPS of about 30-40, but everything's a slideshow. I have the external FPS limiter running and that helps, but there are times when the stuttering spikes to an unspeakable level.
  17. Ok, after installing SP2, I'm still facing the same issues. Again, should I be expecting more from my system or would this me "normal?"
  18. Where would I find that? I ran through a search and couldn't find the file.
  19. I'm still not getting any sounds by doing that.
  20. I just purchased the Captain Sim 727 a few hours ago. However, I don't have any sounds in the cockpit. I can hear the engine, but sounds from switches are all missing. I also don't have the "ding" for the passenger signs. I've found a few threads on the Captain Sim forums regarding this issue via Google, but their forums are down for maintenance. Does anyone have a solution?
  21. This is great! I guess I'll be getting the CS 727.
  22. Try limiting your FPS using an external FPS limiter while having the FSX FPS limiter set to "Unlimited" in the settings menu.
