MyTraffic 2010, or WoAI

Recommended Posts

With the release of MyTraffic 2010, I have been wondering if I should buy it or not. On the one hand, I'd very much like to have my skies filled with more than just the major airlines, on the other hand, there is a price tag, and I'd like to know how MyTraffic 2010 will impact FSX's performance. Right now, I can taxi around with my CS727 with 15FPS, which is not that good, but it good enough for me. Adding MyTraffic 2010, I would like to know if performance will decrease significantly or not...Plus, I tend to fully disable default airport vehicles, because it conflicts with AES and some Aerosoft sceneries. I hope that won't be a problem for MyTraffic 2010?

No problems with switching off airport vehicles, MyTraffic 2010 will be just fine with that. As for performance, there's always a certain amount of subjectivity around this one. AI is always hard on performance, it's one of the few things that did not get a boost with the FSX SP work. Having said that, 2010 is a good performer and certainly I can run with more than 50 aircraft on the ground at a complex payware airport (for example UK2000 EGBB) and get a good lock on 25fps in the MS 737 locking out of the VC during a flyby.Whether your performance will decrease depends on what you are using for AI and how numerous they are. All of the AI packages out there feature aircraft that are signifcantly more efficient than the microsoft AI (on a model to model basis).Simon
