November 14, 200916 yr Hiya peops,I just wanted to add that people have been chasing this for a while. I have had a post on the subject as well as a few others. Latest one that has been pretty active is this post here:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=249782 There is another one, almost the same here:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=249555Just want to point out the specific posts to others should they find this one, because we all seemed to bounce from theory to theory. Most will tell you it is just too much running and your comp can't handle it, haha. Mmmmk Possibly for some but if you read some of the tests we have all done in the above topics, they cover most of these and may help you from wasting time perhaps. To name a couple quick things from reading this post:1.) I also tried not using NHancer. Not because I thought it was an added program in the mix, but just because my settings are rather high, and possibly harder on FSX. Outcome = Still happened.2.) Alex, I too recently thought that about the core temp and you are 100% right about kepping that baby monitored and cooled. However in relationship to this issue it is not an overheating one. A few weeks ago I also thought of this idea and installed EVGA's fan tool. Well, needless to say, since then my computer sounds like a turbine haha. I decided to run the fans at 85% at all times while troubleshooting. Anyway, problem remains.I just posted a comment on the first link above before reading this thread. Give it a read.Good luck all! i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
November 14, 200916 yr I've read the post from people dealing with disappearing pmdg aircraft textures and posted on this issue myself. What I've found is this is not a pmdg, sound or FSX issue. This is a VISTA issue. The driver failures in vista are what caused the disappearing aircraft textures on my system. It appears these vista errors affect pmdg aircraft more than other addons. When I get the error message (Display driver nvddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered) this is when I lose my pmdg aircraft textures. Win 7 is supposed to be much better with hardware drivers than vista. My question is, has anyone running win 7 gotten this driver error message?AlexJust another note on your original post here Alex, I had that Display Driver not responding issue about a month ago after doing a fresh Vista install. I never had it before and it even at times, blue screened and rebooted me. Since it was ONLY another day of reinstalling everything again and nothing made sense of the issue (up to date chipset drivers, latest of all drivers, etc...) I decided to do it again. I am (like most of you) a very savvy computer guy, with 13 certs on the subject, but sometimes, even when we follow the EXACT same installation procedures, choices, drivers etc... We will at times get different results. I have installed many OS's on clients computers and have had so many (what I like to call,,,) Windows Hiccups, it's unbelievable.Being one that rather find a solution to the problem however, I did try everything I could think of. I even spent 4 hours looking at line by line in the registry. Anywho, that is all I can suggest as far as the Responding issue. Look around nVdia forums, you'l see my driver logs all over their forums (with of course no answers, some things within windows just can get out of whack). Some 3rd party (as well as MS themselves) defrag utilities can also corrupt files, VERY important files. However, don't expect to find anything in the even logs to help with finding such.... grrrrr. The same holds true for installing FSX.Seriously, how many times have you for one reason or another had to reinstall FSX, all your addons and backups just to clear an issue that made 0 sense? I have back to back, once again same exact way I did the last time, yet once in a while something just does not work, and for no reason. To show how I do things exact everytime. I now do things like a pilot checks his checklists when it comes to FSX. I have all my addons backed up on a back up drive and a read me I made on the exact steps for me to take before uninstalling (make sure I didn't miss anything), after I uninstall, and a precise reinstall checklist. I even fully clean my registry before reinstall. But once again, most of the times I am good to go, and yet others something just decided not to.Anywho,,, Good luck Alex, I know that error is a frustrating one!!! i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier

Correct me if I am wrong here but the previous issues did not give an error code? Try these fixes two pages:http://www.nvlddmkm.com/ Double check your error as your spelling of nvddmkm differs to this issue as the spelling contains an "l" as in nvlddmkm. This fix applies to nvlddmkm not responding only.
